  Problem 1: Accessing a computer without an Admin password
  There are various reasons why it is sometimes necessary to override a computer’s password. A common one is when a user has forgotten their password and cannot log-on.
  Solution: Start O&O BlueCon direct from CD and open the O&O UserManager. Here you have access to all registered users and can change the passwords accordingly with just a few mouse clicks. When you have closed BlueCon and restarted the computer, the user can log-on using the new password.

  Problem 2: Save data from defective systems to external storage media
  You urgently require data that is stored on a defective system or one that won’t even start.
  Solution: Start O&O BlueCon and connect an external storage medium to the computer e.g. hard disk, USB Stick. By using the O&O FileExplorer you can now navigate through your defective system, just like with Windows Explorer, accessing fi les and directories. You can then copy the data you require to an external medium. You can also access other computers in the network.

  Problem 3: Completely delete data
  To protect your important company data from unauthorized access, you should always securely and permanently delete hard disks before selling them on or returning them to a leasing fi rm. Moving data to the recycle bin or formatting hard disks does not completely remove data from a hard disk.

  Problem 4: Creating a forensic backup for data recovery purposes
  You wish to recover data deleted accidentally or through virus attack, from what is possibly a damaged drive. At the same time, the drive should not be accessed again as you wish to avoid a further loss of data.
  Solution: O&O DiskImage can be used to create an exact 1:1 Image (forensic Image) of a data volume in the event of a data loss. This image can then be mounted as a drive under Windows, and you can attempt a data recovery with one of the O&O data recovery products. The advantage here is that the original data storage volume is left untouched and unaltered in the event that it be required further, for instance by a data rescue laboratory.
