Whether for the experienced home user or the administrator, the O&O RegEditor makes work faster and more pleasant. The O&O RegEditor is not only characterized by its particularly user-friendly handling, but also makes work easier due to its portability.
No installation is necessary and all settings are stored in a profile file, so that O&O RegEditor can be easily used on other computers. In addition, special versions for 32- and 64-bit are delivered. This makes it possible to edit special registry entries on 64-bit systems that are normally not visible to 32-bit applications and can therefore be changed.
O&O RegEditor simplifies the handling of the registry database
In addition to the advantage of the portable use of O&O RegEditor, access to the registry database of the Windows system is particularly easy and convenient. Standard functions are available in full and are supplemented by other options. For example, the search for a key, value, or its contents is performed in its entirety and presented in a list of results with the associated key paths. This gives you a complete list of all occurrences and eliminates the hassle of confirming each individual search result to continue the search. You can also copy paths directly from a website or from a manual into the address bar and navigate to it. Likewise, a history of all visited paths is stored, so that navigation between different keys becomes a matter of an instant. Especially if you want to test settings, copying and pasting complete keys and their subkeys and values is quite helpful to quickly back up and restore the old settings.
O&O RegEditor is also part of O&O BlueCon
The O&O RegEditor was originally developed both as part of O&O BlueCon and for the development of our products for ourselves. O&O BlueCon is a comprehensive administration tool that is used for system recovery and backup of Windows systems and can start a complete Windows user interface from USB or CD/DVD even if the system to be rescued no longer works.
