Berlin, 17. July 2007 - With their newest Version O&O FormatRecovery 4.1, Berlin-based O&O Software GmbH has now made the program for rescuing data now also available under Windows Vista. O&O FormatRecovery slots seamlessly in between O&O UnErase and O&O DiskRecovery. Users can select the product best suited to each specific data loss and thus achieve the best result possible each time.
Thanks to a specially developed search algorithm, O&O FormatRecovery can search through formatted or deleted partitions and recover data, even when the files are heavily fragmented. O&O FormatRecovery can recover data on formatted storage volumes, including the file system information. This means the system can be used immediately after recovery is complete. In order to rescue data on damaged storage volumes, O&O FormatRecovery jumps over damaged sectors and begins the data rescue process beyond the damaged sector.
O&O InstantFormatRecovery enables a Start up without prior installation. In an emergency, the affected storage volumes are purely read accessed, which prevents further data loss through an installation.
The user-friendly O&O FormatRecovery Assistant leads the user step-by-step through the data rescue, so that users with no prior experience or knowledge can easily use the program.
