O&O Software - Made in Berlin

As a high-growth company from Berlin, we feel a particular obligation to the city. Berlin gives us a lot, and we would like to recognize that here in writing.

O&O Software GmbH was founded in Berlin by the current owner and Managing Director. It stood to reason, as Olaf Kehrer is himself a Berliner. It is common these days, particularly in the software industry, to shift core operations like development out to tax-privileged countries, or to outsource it to service providers. That is not the case with O&O Software. We develop and sell all our programs direct from our Berlin center. The support team is also based in Berlin, as are acticom, exono and UpdateStar, the other companies making up the O&O Group.

Back in 1997, the O&O Team initially comprised just the two founders from Berlin. Today, it has over 50 employees, and a thoroughly multi-cultural employee structure. In all, the “O&Oers” originate from over 10 countries, including the UK, USA, Japan and Russia.

Berlin is a dynamic and cosmopolitan city. For an innovative, international company like ours, Berlin – our Berlin – is exactly the right location.
