Berlin, September 19, 2005 - O&O CleverCache V6.0 is the newest release from the workshop of the internationally successful Berlin-based software developer, O&O Software. O&O CleverCache optimizes the memory and file cache management in Windows, enabling a PC or server to perform at a higher level of speed and efficiency.

The inefficient memory management in Windows causes unnecessary losses in performance on PCs and servers. Coupled with the hard disk optimization offered by O&O Defrag V8.0, O&O Software is now aggressively taking aim at the second most important software-based method of optimizing the performance of Windows: file cache management.

Through the intelligent adjustments of the file cache, more main memory is made available to the system, allowing for a clear increase in system performance. Using O&O AutoSense technology, O&O CleverCache V6.0 performs an analysis of all important system parameters at startup and then chooses the optimal settings for the system.

Mem-O-Free defragments the main memory, organizing short and fragmented segments of memory into a few larger one. This decreases the response time of applications requiring large amounts of memory to operate (e.g. Games). In addition, defragmented main memory enables the system to localize and utilize free segments of memory more quickly.

Mem-O-Safe increases the rate at which data are written to disk, minimizing the potential for data loss in the event of a system crash. The New System Monitor watches over the most important components a PC system and graphs their respective work load histories in real-time. System Tuning is made possible through the user-defined prioritization of applications, a brand new feature in the new version of O&O CleverCache.

With the help of individual profiles, users can define which functions their systems are to favor during normal operation. This enables O&O CleverCache to optimally customize all memory activities. Although there are predefined profiles to choose from, users can create their own personal profiles to fit their exact needs.
