Berlin, 24 June, 2009 - O&O DiskImage 4 - once again with free e-mail support
O&O DiskImage 4 Professional Edition is available with immediate effect. The user can choose from various imaging methods, such as a creating a complete, differential or incremental image, and can also schedule the creation of an image. For the first time ever, it is also now possible to restore virtual hard disks of the type Microsoft Virtual Hard Disks (VHD) directly. Images created with O&O DiskImage 4 can be burned on to all optical storage volumes (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD).
The service and job status can be viewed using the TrayIcon, without even having to start O&O DiskImage 4 Professional Edition. The new graphical display of the hard disks and the drives makes data management much easier, as both used and free space as well as the size of individual partitions are shown.
Like its predecessors, this O&O DiskImage 4 version also includes a Start CD based on the current Windows PE. This makes it possible to create images even if the operating system is not working anymore. The unique O&O DriverLoader lets users download drivers retrospectively that are not available as standard at Start up.
A single license of O&O DiskImage 4 Professional Edition is available in the full version for ¤29.90 / GBP 19.99 / $29.95, and as an upgrade from a previous version, as well as from competing commercial products, for ¤19.90 / GBP 12.99 / $19.95 including free e-mail support.
New and advanced functions
Different imaging methods: When creating a complete image, you can choose between creating an image of the used data areas and a complete forensic image to guarantee a successful data restoration. An incremental or differential image saves a lot of space, since it only includes data areas which have been changed since the last imaging.
Restoring individual files: O&O DiskImage image files (OMG) can be mounted as virtual hard disks. Individual files can be copied with the help of Windows Explorer and subsequently restored.
Virtual Hard Disc (VHD): O&O DiskImage makes it possible to convert images from virtual hard disks of the type Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) into image files of O&O DiskImage (OMG) and vice versa. A virtual hard disk can be restored directly.
Visualizing data: The graphic display of the hard disk and drives - similar to the data management from Microsoft Windows - allows for an intuitive selection of the storage volumes to be imaged or to be restored. Free and used space, as well as the size of the individual partitions will be shown, which greatly facilitates the management of data.
Service and Job Status: The TrayIcon integrated into the Taskbar supplies information on the status of services and jobs quickly and without any complications, as well as the handling status of O&O DiskImage 4. At a glance, you can check on the completion of jobs, and maybe even prevent any unwanted cancellations.
Enhanced burn function: O&O DiskImage 4 supports all important optical storage volumes; all images can be burned on to CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD.
Additional compression types (BZIP): In addition to the existing compression type LZNT1, the compression type BZIP2 can now also be selected. Two different algorithms are now available to compress data.
