Defragmentation without limits
Fragmentation is the main cause of significant performance losses in Windows. Due to the fact that the hard disk is the slowest component of a computer, its optimization is an especially important issue. By using O&O Defrag 10, files can be read and written much more quickly. What at first seems to be lost performance can easily be rediscovered and realized again with O&O Defrag 10, giving you the peace of mind that your hardware is in good health and operating optimally. New technological developments also ensure you are getting the best efficiency at the lowest cost.
O&O OneButtonDefrag
technology
The O&O OneButtonDefrag Technology lets you sit
back and relax while the optimal defragmentation
configuration is tailored directly to your system. A job
is created and then executed, making performance
improvements on your system faster than ever. Even
in large networks, this sort of automation can lead to
unbelievable savings in network administration
resources.
Five different defragmentation
methods
O&O Defrag 10 uses five different methods of
defragmentation optimized to meet the individual
needs of every system. As the world's only professional
defragmentation software, O&O Defrag 10
enables you to uses any of the five methods on partitions
of any size or number. Regardless of how many
Megabytes, Gigabytes, or Terabytes your partitions
contains; whether your hard drives are SCSI or IDE; or
whether your hard drives are connected into RAID
systems or not, O&O Defrag 10 quickly, simply, and
securely gets systems running
Windows Vista, XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003operating at their peak performance. Even a system
running Windows with 1.5
Terabyte hard disk capacity can be defragmented
using O&O Defrag 10 Professional Edition economically
and with the most modern technology possible.
This is where other software manufacturers will draw
the line, sometimes requiring you to upgrade to a
Server or Enterprise Server edition at more than 20
times the cost you might pay for an O&O Defrag 10
Professional Edition license.
Screensaver Mode
New in Version 10 is the ability to activate O&O
Defrag whenever Windows has activated its screensaver.
As soon as the screensaver is ended by the
user, defragmentation is paused. Continuing defragmentation
at a later time is always possible since
O&O Defrag can detect where it last left off.
This mode enables to you to defragment your hard
disk only when the computer is not in use, such as
during your lunch hour or simply when you are away
from your desk. This feature can be activated remotely
for all computers on a network.
Power Management for
Notebooks
The O&O IntelligentPowerControl technology was
developed to specifically respond of the needs of
mobile systems. As soon as your notebook is removed
from the external power supply and is operating on its
own battery, O&O Defrag 10 switches to pause
mode, halting all defragmentation in the process. This
ensures that no battery power will be consumed
while defragging your hard disk, allowing you to get
your work done at full power. Reconnecting your notebook
to an external power source will automatically
signal O&O Defrag 10 to continue its defragmentation.
