O&O UnErase 4.1, O&O FormatRecovery and O&O DiskRecovery 4.1 are three software products for data rescue that complement each other perfectly. The programs use various search algorithms to achieve maximum results. Rescuing data is possible on all volumes compatible with Windows, including internal and external hard disks (IDE, SATA, SCSI etc.), digital cameras, MP3 players, USB and memory sticks, memory cards and disks.

There are two additional programs included that enhance data security on a computer. O&O DiskImage 3.1 creates images and restores data, and O&O PartitionManager 2 creates, modifies the size and deletes partitions.

The one-of-a-kind Start CD, which is based on Windows PE and therefore carries its own operating system, makes it possible to use the programs included in the O&O RescueBox without a running Windows installation. Accessing hardware is secured by the Windows drivers included in Windows PE. Non-standard drivers can be loaded retrospectively by using O&O DriverLoader. When starting the O&O RescueBox from CD, no previous installation of the programs is necessary. It also contains several system rescue and management functions, such as O&O FileExplorer, O&O RegEditor and O&O CheckDisk.
