With O&O DiskImage Professional Edition, you can back up entire workstations or individual files flexibly and reliably – even during operation. In the event of data loss, backups can be restored with just a few clicks, even if the system no longer boots. O&O DiskImage supports modern technologies such as SSDs and UEFI systems and enables not only the recovery, but also the cloning and migration of entire systems – even on different hardware. This means that your IT infrastructure always remains ready for use, even in the event of a hardware change or in an emergency.
The regular backup of business-critical data is still neglected in many companies – often with serious consequences. At the latest in the event of data loss, be it due to software errors, hardware defects or operating errors, the true value of a reliable and up-to-date data backup becomes apparent.
With a previously created backup via O&O DiskImage, data can be restored quickly and easily in the event of an emergency – even if the operating system no longer starts. This keeps downtimes to a minimum and ensures the productivity of your employees.
O&O DiskImage offers extended support for the professional use of virtual machines. Incremental and differential backups of virtual disks can now be created, merged, and mounted directly as drives if needed. This gives IT managers quick access to backed up files at any time and can continue working within seconds if necessary – without interrupting operations.
In conventional backup and imaging solutions, it is necessary to create an external boot medium – for example via USB stick – in order to restore the system in an emergency. This medium must be kept safe and within reach in case of an emergency, which can complicate the recovery process.
With the O&O DiskImage RecoveryPartition integrated into the system, this additional effort is eliminated. In the event of a system failure, the last backup can be accessed directly and restored without an external medium. If Windows no longer starts or faulty drivers need to be removed, the integrated recovery environment provides all the necessary O&O tools to get the workstation back up and running quickly and efficiently.
Until now, it was necessary to create a separate O&O DiskImage boot medium in addition to the regular data backup in order to be able to perform a recovery in the event of an emergency. With the new O&O DiskImage To Go function, this process is now fully automated.
An external hard drive or a sufficiently large USB stick is automatically converted into a bootable O&O DiskImage rescue medium and at the same time defined as a preferred target for future system backups. As soon as this medium is connected to the computer, O&O DiskImage automatically creates a current backup – without any manual intervention.
In the event of a system failure or migration to new hardware, the saved backup can be restored at the touch of a button. There is no need to search for a separate boot medium and backup hard drive – maximum efficiency with minimum effort.
All standard and professional features are bundled in a single product. Both automated and individual backup settings are possible. Thanks to the integrated bootable rescue system, important data can be restored quickly – even if the backup was created with a previous version of O&O DiskImage. The software combines maximum flexibility with professional data security and offers both beginners and experienced administrators convenient operation.
Drive-based backup stores all the contents of a selected disk in a single backup file. A full backup of the system hard drive includes the entire operating system, all installed programs and all settings. This not only protects personal data – it also completely eliminates the time-consuming reinstallation and configuration of the system in the event of an emergency.
Restoring a backup is particularly simple: the boot media you created earlier is booted, an existing backup is selected, and the restore process begins. Hardware-independent recovery also makes it possible to transfer a system 1:1 to dissimilar hardware. New components are automatically detected and the appropriate Windows settings are adjusted independently. To access individual files, a backup can be integrated as a virtual drive, so that data can be copied out as usual via Windows Explorer.
For backing up to external USB hard drives, O&O DiskImage offers a particularly convenient plug-and-play function. As soon as a previously defined external hard drive is connected, a backup of selected files or folders will automatically start. This feature is ideal for users who don’t want to start backups manually – once set up, everything runs in the background and is fully automated.
In order to quickly make systems functional again and minimize downtime, a WinPE-based rescue system can be created directly from O&O DiskImage. This is stored on a USB flash drive and allows the computer to be started even if Windows itself is no longer operational. This allows backups to be restored or repairs to be carried out without having to rely on the installed operating system.
