O&O DiskImage Software Development Kit (SDK)

The O&O DiskImage Software Development Kit (SDK) provides you with the full range of functions of O&O DiskImage for customized solutions or for integration into existing applications. It includes the components for sector-based or file-based backups, disk management, and system property modification. Furthermore, all the tools that O&O DiskImage provides for managing the components are also included.

The interface was developed as a COM Local Server with the help of the Component Object Model (COM) from Microsoft®. Therefore, all programming languages that support a COM connection, such as C++, C#, Visual Basic and many more, can be used.

Back up the entire computer, individual hard drive, drives or directories and files. To have a consistent database, you can use the O&O Snapshot driver or the Microsoft® Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). Load the created backups or ISO files as a virtual drive with the help of the O&O Virtual Disk driver and restore individual directories or files from them. You can also convert backups to virtual hard disks to mount them into a system or virtualize a system. Use hardware-agnostic recovery (M.I.R.) to migrate a system from hardware or to a virtualization environment, or use it to remove faulty drivers.
