O&O DiskImage 21 Premium – Powerful data backup now even more user-friendly

O&O Software GmbH from Berlin announces the release of O&O DiskImage 21 Premium Edition – a brand-new edition from the successful O&O DiskImage family, which was developed specifically for private users and enables the backup of data with just a few clicks under Windows 11 and will continue to be available under Windows 10.

With O&O DiskImage 21 Premium, users can regularly back up an entire Windows system, individual drives, or just selected directories and files.

“What’s special about the new Premium Edition of O&O DiskImage is the automatic preconfiguration of important parameters – without any AI but based on many years of experience in data backup,” says Olaf Kehrer, Managing Director of O&O Software GmbH. “Every user of O&O DiskImage Premium can back up their entire PC with just two clicks. In addition, NAS devices available on the local network are recognized and preselected as possible storage locations. Hotplug events can also be defined, so that plugging in an external USB storage device triggers a data backup. Without any clicks and completely automatically.

Differences between Premium and Professional Editions
The current Professional Edition of O&O DiskImage will be further developed and will soon be introduced in a new version 21. It is now primarily aimed at IT professionals and ambitious home users, as it also enables use in corporate networks and is also coordinated with the Server Edition, which will also be available later.

The Premium Edition offers the same powerful backup technology, but with a modern, particularly easy-to-use interface – ideal for home users who want to easily back up and restore their data and systems.

All products in the O&O DiskImage line use the same backup formats, and images can therefore be easily backed up and restored not only across versions but also across editions.

Creating Virtual Drives and PC Virtualization
With O&O DiskImage 21 Premium, in addition to the usual formats, you can also create images in VHD and VHDX formats to virtualize drives or the entire PC. This makes restoring a PC as a virtual machine a breeze, even for home users.

Fortress Mode for Maximum Isolation
O&O DiskImage 21 Premium’s unique Fortress Mode allows the application to run in a completely isolated and secure Windows environment, allowing backups to be performed without interference from other applications. This also enables direct forensic images, which freeze and precisely map the current state of all system storage sectors.

Restoring to New Hardware
Restoring to new and different hardware is also no problem. For this purpose, a bootable medium can be created with a fully compatible Windows system, which even supports and can restore systems encrypted with BitLocker or other encryption.
