O&O Syspectr: Free IT Cloud Management for Windows

To better meet all current demands for security, O&O Software GmbH has now decided to offer its IT management solution, O&O Syspectr, free of charge and without any restrictions.

O&O Syspectr’s management interface is run over a browser and can be used on any device with an internet connection. This makes it possible to monitor and manage Windows machines anytime and anywhere.

O&O Syspectr is free for all operating systems and can be used on an unlimited number of endpoints. All data is kept in German data centers, is subject to German laws regarding privacy, and will never be shared with any third parties. Please note that German laws regarding privacy are among the strictest in the world and violations are severely punished.

Installation and setup in less than five minutes

Using O&O Syspectr is extremely easy: after setting up an account at https://www.syspectr.com/ it’s possible to monitor any number of PCs and servers. All that’s required is the one-time installation of the Client app on the computer. Once that’s done, all settings can be configured and events monitored via the web interface.

Along with a view of software and hardware inventories there’s an integrated Remote Desktop that is run over a browser. The Remote Desktop can be used without additional installation on all current Smartphones and Tablets. The same applies, of course, to all desktop PCs.

O&O Syspectr also detects errors and problems if a machine is turned off or is no longer able to start. This allows it to access and analyze all system information. O&O Syspectr can be set to immediately notify users of any important events so that a quick response is possible.

The user can have all relevant system information displayed at any time: hardware, software, fill levels, and health status of hard disks, IP addresses – internal and external – and much, much more.

Module

The functionality and list of modules is being constantly extended. The following modules are currently available:

  • Monitoring of Windows security settings and installed anti-virus solutions.
  • Verification that all Windows updates are installed
  • Display of programs installed on the computer.
  • Connected harddisks and their used space are listed.
  • USB devices can be monitored and blocked.
  • Harddisk information is evaluated and warnings are issued for impending malfunctions such as exceeding critical operating temperatures or frequent read/write errors.
  • Monitoring the status of processes and services, white and black lists are possible.
  • Remote Desktop is displayed in a browser.
  • Remote Console opens a command on a remote computer.
  • Powershell scripts enable planned remote commands to be executed.

System Requirements

OO&O Syspectr is compatible with Windows Editions 7, 8, and 10 as well as Windows 2008/2008 R2, 2012/2012 R2 and 2016 Server. It can be used on physical as well as virtual machines. O&O Syspectr requires an internet connection. Additional hardware or configuration of anything like a DSL or internet router is not needed.
