With the latest Windows 10 or 11, personal data from users are passed on to various apps and to Microsoft.

The problem

Keyboard entries are recorded, private data are sent to Microsoft and various applications. WLAN passwords no longer have to be entered as some services now share these with facebook contacts. Or the computer connects with a potentially unprotected public network – without asking permission. All these factors and more mean a user’s daily computing experience with Windows 10 and 11 is very comfortable, but they also pose significant security risks. To counter these risks, users of Windows 10 and 11 have to deactivate the data sharing functions manually. Without expert knowledge, this can prove extremely difficult as some of the settings are very well hid within the system.

The solution

The new freeware O&O ShutUp10++ enables users to see all Windows 10 and 11 security settings on one simple page and to deactivate those that share sensitive data which they are not comfortable with. The program provides tips and information so it is clear which functions can be safely deactivated and which not. Any changes made can be undone at any time with just one click of the mouse.
